Eye Health.
Lutein and zeaxanthin from marigold, at studied doses, for screen-heavy days.
Lutein and zeaxanthin are dietary carotenoids that concentrate in the eye and absorb a portion of blue-wavelength light before it reaches the back of the eye. EX1's eye-health range ships them from marigold at the studied 10 mg and 2 mg amounts, for adults who spend long hours on screens.
Why this category matters
Lutein and zeaxanthin are carotenoid pigments that concentrate in the eye and act as a natural blue-light filter.
Indian urban adults routinely spend 8 to 12 hours daily on screens. Lutein and zeaxanthin levels are shaped mainly by dietary intake and tend to sit below the population reference range in screen-heavy adults. Marigold is the most common dietary-supplement source.
Lutein and zeaxanthin are dietary carotenoids concentrated in the eye; their levels are shaped mainly by dietary intake, with marigold (Tagetes erecta) the common supplement source.

How to choose an eye health supplement
Lutein should be marigold-source
The bulk of trial lutein originates from marigold (Tagetes erecta) flower extract. Synthetic isomers are less common and less studied.
Read the lutein milligrams, not the marigold-extract milligrams
A 100 mg marigold extract at 10 percent lutein content delivers 10 mg of the active. The label should declare both.
Daily, with a fat-containing meal
Lutein is fat-soluble. Absorption increases meaningfully when taken with dietary fat.
Pair with omega-3 for retinal support
DHA is a structural lipid in retinal membranes. Lutein and DHA are complementary, not substitutes.
